Hi Goober! Or should I call you Groundnut, Pygmy Nut, Monkey Nut, or Pig Nut?
Whatever your name is, you’re awfully cute
! And you’ve got peanut butter breath! Always a good sign. You’re my kind of person!
Thought you might enjoy some peanut butter-inspired art and goodies today. In March 2011, Peanut Butter & Co., a cool sandwich shop in Greenwich Village, sponsored the Nutropolitan Museum of Art, a 3-day exhibit featuring 365 variations of the peanut butter sandwich. Most of the ideas were conceived by Founder and President Lee Zalben. Here are a few of my faves:

“Sunny Day” (CocoPop multigrain cake, Smooth Operator PB, clementine orange segments)

“Starry Night” (Diecut, toasted brioche with Bees Knees PB and sliced starfruit)

“Sweet and Tart and Nutty” (Candy crusted white bread, Smooth Operator PB, lime curd)

“Call Me, Maybe” (White bread finger wheel, Smooth Operator PB, grape jelly numbers)
There’s oodles and oodles more at the Nutropolitan Museum tumblr!
Not in the mood for a sandwich? How about a pancake?

Um…one of each please! That Ryan Gosling bit was cute! LOL Happy birthday, you! xoxox
Thanks, Debbi. You’ve been a good girl, so you can have one of each.
It’s your birthday? Happy, happy!
I think my favorite is the peanut butter cups necklace. So tiny!
I don’t know, is it?
Thanks, T.!
The PB art is wonderful. I always think, how do they do it?! And love that crunchy/smooth necklace-so cute. And the peanut butter fudge-my mouth is watering! Have a piece to make your birthday sweet Jama! And have a special Thanksgiving too.
Glad you liked those sandwiches. Such a fun exhibit. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Wishing you and yours a very Happy and Delicious Thanksgiving!
Love the Starry Night! Van Gogh, isn’t it? Nutter Butter earrings!! I’m craving PB now. I think there’s a jar in the cupboard… Hey Jama, sorry I haven’t commented in a while. I got so-o far behind on my email notifications (not just yours) that I deleted them and am starting over. I promise to keep up with your tasty offerings from now on!
Hi Kathleen — yes, Starry Night was inspired by Van Gogh. It’s challenging for everyone to keep up with all the blog reading, etc. Appreciate your taking the time to drop by and comment.
Happy happy birthday! I think my choice is the tiny peanut butter cookie earrings. Off to take a spoonful now! xo, a.
Thanks, Amy! Hope you’ve got a BIG spoon
!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Ryan Gosling *and* peanut butter? Can’t top that.
Thanks, mrs. b!! Extra peanut butter and chocolate for you today. ♥
Hey, Jama, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Mine was yesterday and I think I’m bit older than you (69). Hope the day is wonderful.
Great post as usual.
It’s your birthday, Jama? Have a wonderful, wonderful day. Everything you’ve gathered here is so great but especially the felt sandwich. I love your blog.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you had a deliciously peanut-buttery (and perhaps chocolate-y as well) day. Thank you for gracing our lives with your wonderous thoughts, books, and presence.
(Oh, and I’m lovin’ some of the PB-themed jewelry, as well as “Keep Calm and Eat PB”.
)
Imma take a bite out of that cute little button with the peanut knit cap, is he lost? Can I have him for ‘takeout’ please? Will wrap him in more peanut butter goodness and bite those cutesy little cheeks. Hehe. Happy Birthday again!
Sorry, that cute little button is mine, all mine! No takeout orders accepted.
