The time has come once again to put on our aprons, play with our rolling pins, and tickle our turkeys.

Wherever you are, wherever you go, we wish you a joyful, delicious time with family and friends and lots of PIE. We’ll be back next week with more mealtime mischief.

  5. Baking my pies now and dreaming of tomorrow, when for the first time in 12 years I’m NOT cooking dinner! No matter how you slice it, it will be a good day. I hope yours is filled with good things.

      1. Yup! (well, except the stuff on other people’s plates – that’s just rude! 😉 ) I normally don’t like Cranberry Sauce, but this time, we got Whole Cranberry Sauce and I couldn’t get enough of it – weird. 🙂 What was your favorite thing?

      2. I made a new cranberry sauce recipe that was great — cooked in apple juice and maple syrup, no refined sugar. I think my favorite thing was the brussels sprouts, not counting PIE of course.

      3. Not counting PIE – yes. My cousin thought she got pumpkin pie, but it was a weird cherry pie. My uncle (the cousin’s dad) made a pumpkin torte that we were ALL unsure of (including him) – it was his first time making a torte (it turned out to be excellent – we* couldn’t get enough). When he found out about the pie, he shouted “My cake is better than her PIE! YES!” 🙂
        Mom has a great brussels sprout recipe. 🙂
        Have you read the book PIE? It has pie recipes in it. 🙂
