Do you think she liked ice cream with her pie?

Hmm . . . the thing is, by the time apples would’ve come in (in fall), they’d probably have run out of ice in the ice house. And by the time they could harvest (or buy) new ice, the apples may not have been fit for pie anymore, although I’m sure they would’ve cellared them. And maybe had dried apples available.
