swinging the alphabet

#21 in an ongoing series of posts celebrating the alphabet.

Happy Monday!

Start the week with a smile and a song, courtesy of the Three Stooges. “Swinging the Alphabet” is from their 1938 short, Violent is the Word for Curly. This is a great exercise in mental dexterity, and the women are pretty, too.

Certified authentic alphabetica. Made by hand with love and Curly, Larry, and Moe.

  1. The Three Stooges always made me think of this deaf man I used to interpret for — he had the loudest, most genuine laugh. And he said he’d watch them as a child and could get 90% of the dramatic action, since it was mostly wordless.
I’ll have to show this to the girls.

  2. I’m not going to bother with any snarky comments about phonics because that was one impressive show of…what?…I guess you said it best: “mental detertity.” They left me in the dust! And how quickly they could sing it AND in harmony!!
