cakespy contest and a cookbook giveaway!

Calling all Sweet Teeth!

Have you heard about Cakespy’s incredibly sweet baking contest co-sponsored by Sasquatch Books? Just whip up an especially decadent, wildly original, irresistible dessert, then send in a color photo and description, and you could win an all expenses paid trip for two to Cakespy Headquarters in Seattle!

The “So You Wanna Be a CakeSpy?” Contest is just the ticket if you love creative baking challenges, would like to visit one of the coolest cities in the country, meet Head Spy Jessie Oleson, and spend an afternoon noshing on sweets at one of her favorite bakeries. Yum!

Deadline for entries is January 15, 2012, so you have plenty of time to experiment and perfect your sweet treat. Jessie will select the dessert that strikes her fancy based on creativity, documentation and presentation.  Entries can be riffs on any of the recipes featured in her new cookbook, CakeSpy Presents Sweet Treats for a Sugar-Filled Life, or completely original creations. The sky’s the limit!

See the Official Contest Rules at CakeSpy.com.

  1. I have never in my life been able to pick a favorite anything. But in the past year, all my favorite desserts have been created by my twelve-year-old daughter, an adventurous cupcake and cookie baker with surprising ideas. Most recently: a pumpkin cupcake with maple frosting.
