#44 in an ongoing series of posts celebrating the alphabet.
Was cruising around the web recently and found some cool examples of typography art. I get excited enough just appreciating different fonts that are doing nothing in particular except forming words, but when I see letters showing off their best acrobatics to create images, shapes, and textures, I’m a total goner. Click on the images below to access their web sources, some of which contain even more amazing pieces. Enjoy!

And my favorite:

Brilliant!

Wonderful! Loved the squirrel and the bike the best . . . and of course, Dylan! Am now looking for the book on your sidebar–Dinner with Tennessee.

The bike is indeed awesome. I think it might still be available as a poster. The portraits are amazing, too. The Tennessee Williams book is fairly recent; looking forward to checking it out.

Wow-aren’t they wonderful! I love the squirrel & actually all the animals created by that site. But every one is truly exciting. Artists are just amazing in their creativity. Thanks, Jama. (I liked hearing about your apple month!)

Amazing artists for sure. Can’t imagine how they actually do these pieces. Looks very tedious. The animals and portraits are fantastic!
