Spring is practically here. You know what that means.
Eggs eggs eggs. 🙂
Boil ’em, dye ’em, decorate ’em, hide ’em.
Don’t know eggsactly why, but lately I’ve become a tad obsessed with cupping them. After all, they deserve due props and pedestals for being so dang versatile. We have several egg cups in the Alphabet Soup kitchen, but I thought it would be fun to acquire a few more.
Hah! When I looked around, the yolk was on me. Those egg cups runneth over! Now I can’t even make up my mind.
Here’s a mix of my faves: retro, vintage, sassy, modern, whimsical, interesting, funky, just plain cool. Most of these are for sale, so click away for more info. Not that I’m trying to egg you on or anything. 🙂
I had no idea that there are so many kinds! I like Muffy Vanderbear & the sheep, Jama. Thanks for the research; they are all wonderful in their own special ways, like people!
I like your choices, Linda. Muffy V. is also Cornelius’s favorite :). I agree they each have different personalities and would be good for different moods. Uh-oh, I could be in trouble . . .
Too cute and too funny! Love your photos and your wit. Hope you and Lenny are well. Know Newt’s keeping you apprised of life in Hawaii. Take care, Alison
I don’t know about some of the ones that make the egg seem like a head. Because it might feel violent then to crack the egg!
;-D
That toile one is probably my favorite. I would feel like a queen!
I keep having this huge urge to start collecting egg cups. They are so adorable! But I have to remind myself that I don’t really care for soft-boiled eggs. 😦 I couldn’t possibly choose among these. They’re all adorable!
What a fun post and a great selection of fantastic egg-cups, it is so difficult to choose a favourite, but if forced, I guess it would have to be the Japanese man and woman with the hats, they are so quirky!
I am not a huge fan of soft boiled eggs, make that eggs in general and usually I will only eat them through choice if they are hard-boiled, so there isn’t much call for egg-cups in our house!
Of course, with Easter fast approaching, the chocolate egg will always be welcome and hopefully one which is a little too large for an egg-cup!!
Oh yes, you must have some chocolate eggs for Easter. Why not display them in their own special egg cups? (You can see I’m all for egg cups whether one eats real eggs or not.)
I also like that man and woman with the hats. I love hats . . . and mustaches . . . and egg cups . . . and bears . . . the list goes on :).
They’re all so adorable, Jama, that I can narrow it down to a favorite.

I thought of you when those hooters asked to be included here. 🙂
The Eye Candy for this week is Paul Rudd. Do you remember him in the movie, “Clueless”?

I love the toile one too — very pretty. Actually wouldn’t mind having an entire set of dishes in that pattern :).
I don’t think cracking one of those egg heads would be any more violent and traumatic than eating the head and ears of a chocolate bunny. 😀

Well, no one said anything about actually eating eggs . . . 😀 I haven’t eaten a single soft boiled egg in any of my egg cups yet!
