seven bowls full

Hungry?

Book a table at these blogs. They’re all serving up some mighty fine home-cooked information, inspiration, and perspiration:
This week, Sara Lewis Holmes (Read*Write*Believe), and

(Liz in Ink), are co-blogging about the physicality of writing. Writing is an athletic event which should involve the whole body. Find out how these two beautiful physical specimens stay in shape for the long haul of cranking out stunning poetry and sparkling prose. Click here for this week’s regimen
Tricia Stohr-Hunt (Miss Rumphius Effect) now has a second blog, Open Wide, Look Inside, about using poetry and children’s literature across the curriculum. Tricia is known for her thematic book lists, and like the Miss Rumphius Effect, which was nominated last year for best educational blog, this new blog promises to be an invaluable resource.
Not to be missed: Shrinking Violet Promotions will be discussing book promotion and marketing for the next 6 months! Mary Hershey and Robin LaFevers will be using Mary’s upcoming release, 10 Lucky Things That Have Happened to Me Since I Nearly Got Hit by Lightning, as an example. They will consult industry experts and share everything Mary is and will be doing to successfully launch this title, step by step.
Have you been over to 7-Imp lately? This year, Jules and Eisha have added several new features to their highly informative and entertaining blog (which, by the way, should be required reading for anyone truly interested in children’s books). There’s a new page which lists all their blogger interviews, and in coming months, they’ll introduce us to some new and promising artists, as well as gear some of their posts to busy parents seeking appropriate picture books for their children. Make them a daily part of your blogger meal. You will never leave hungry!
There are still a couple of weeks to check out Jen Robinson over at PBS Parents.org, where she’s been the featured guest expert all month long, discussing The Power and Wonder of Children’s Books. Ask a question, or leave a comment for Jen!
The January Edge of the Forest newsletter is up at Big A, little a, with lots of great articles, reviews, and an interview with prolific writer and blogger, Candice Ransom!
Finally, don’t forget the January Carnival of Children’s Literature, hosted by Wizards Wireless. This month’s theme is book awards.
