abc prezzies

#37 in an ongoing series of posts celebrating the alphabet.

Ho Ho Ho and a bottle of rum!

Wait a minute. That should be Ho Ho Ho, Fa La La, and Jingle Bells!

‘Tis the season of giving, gifting and going crazy.

I will not panic, I will not panic.

At least that’s what Lisa Schroeder said.

She told me to BREATHE. Inhale, exhale . . .

December just kind of rushed in all of a sudden. Those of you who’ve already finished your holiday shopping, please go away.  I’m totally in awe envious of people who are always so organized and ahead of the game.

So, it happens every year. I’m minding my own business, diligently shopping for other people when I spot all kinds of stuff with my name written all over it. I’m sharing these cool alphabet-related items per my usual rationale: if you buy them, then I won’t have to. ☺

Nota bene: Independent studies conducted by an elite cadre of discerning, nattily attired bears have proven that children who eat food served on lettered dishes do infinitely better in school and can leap tall buildings in a single bound (even if you don’t want them to).  Their verbal skills are off the charts, though sometimes you can’t get them to stop talking.

Still, who wouldn’t find everything extra delicious with the SugarBooger Alphabet Collection, which includes a deep plate and bowl (not pictured here), sippy cups, flatware, and a splat mat?

Oh, and check out this backpack. Don’t you feel smarter just looking at it?

I fairly swooned when I saw the Campbell’s Alphabet Dice Game. ♥Love♥

Perfect for word lovers ages 8+, the set includes  216 letters on 36 six-sided dice. The whole family can enjoy this challenging anagram crossword game while slurping from their soup cups. Soup references abound in the rules: one can “slurp” or “re-heat,” and there’s even a SOUPER round. Where else would “M’MGood™” be a valid word? Just throw the dice and spell. Talk about canned fun!

Finally, I sense you need this wonderful 8″ x 10″ culinary alphabet print for your kitchen:

It was created by artist Lisa Jane Smith (the original was done in ink and colored pencil) and is sold unframed.

Here’s another pic to give you an idea of how great it looks matted and framed:

Lovely, no? And it’s always good to support independent artists!!

Be back with more gift ideas.

I will not panic, I will not panic . . .

Certified authentic alphabetica. Handmade with love, sugar boogers and nice dice.

  1. Oooh. Doesn’t that backpack say “first day of Kindergarten” to you?
Of course, it also says, “gee, whiz, it’s white, what are you thinking,” but really, how many first days of Kindergarten do you get?

    1. Yes, “First Day of Kindergarten,” and “Every Day,” as far as I’m concerned. White? Nothing a little Scotchguard won’t fix. 🙂

  2. I’m not done shopping either. 😉

That poster is driving me crazy trying to guess what some of the things are. A glass of wine for “B?” Oh, burgundy?

    1. Yay, now I don’t feel so bad! More shopping to do!!

Yes, I think it must be Burgundy. Can’t figure out the “U” or the “D”. Could it be drink? And what’s the “X”?

    1. Draft! Yes, I think you’re right — don’t know why it didn’t occur to me. 🙂 Don’t know what ugli fruit is. Must investigate . . .
